As a Senior Manager working with financial institutions, Omar Sana advises clients on high-quality carbon reduction and removal strategies and developing tailored solutions that maximize climate impact.
Omar Sana’s work at Carbon Direct draws from prior experience at the intersection of climate, finance, and advisory. As the founder of a consultancy which provided climate-related services for one of the largest minority and female owned quantitative asset managers in the U.S. and prominent philanthropic institutions, he leverages a combination of operational, financial, and sustainability expertise to contribute to meaningful climate impact.
Omar’s experience in sustainability includes work with leading institutions in the space, including serving on the Steering Committee of the Glasgow Financial Allianz for Net Zero (GFANZ) which represents ~$100 Trillion USD in Assets Under Management, helping lead the Reimagining Philanthropy Initiative organized by the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders, and published authorship on coalition building in climate finance and philanthropy.
