Adrianna Sutton
Science Writer
Environmental Science & Policy + Forest Management
Adrianna Sutton uses her experience in publishing and forestry, along with an interest in all things climate-related, to develop high-quality communications materials.
Before joining Carbon Direct, Adrianna served as Communications Manager for the Michigan State University, Forest Carbon and Climate Program. While there, she also earned a Graduate Certificate in Forest Carbon Science, Policy, and Management. Adrianna brings over 20 years of experience in publishing to her communications work. She has filled both design and editorial roles for publishing teams across the private, public, and academic sectors. She also has boots-on-the-ground experience working as a forestry technician for the US Forest Service, Forest Inventory and Analysis program where she conducted data collection throughout the Pacific Northwest’s diverse array of forested ecosystems.
Adrianna plays a key role in the development and refinement of written materials produced by Carbon Direct’s Science and Policy teams, including due diligence reports, techno-economic analyses, life cycle assessments, white papers, digests, briefings, and more. When she is not wrangling commas, formatting citations, or paraphrasing the insights of her brilliant colleagues, Adrianna can be found playing outside or indulging her life-long obsession with books.
