Rory Jacobson is a Kerry Fellow and second-year master’s student at the Yale School of Environment (YSE). Prior to YSE, Rory was a Senior Policy Advisor at Carbon180 where he performed research and analysis on technologies and land management strategies that sequester atmospheric carbon dioxide. During the Summer of 2020 he worked at Natural Resources Defense Council studying and designing near-term federal policy strategies to incentivize the deployment of carbon dioxide removal approaches. Rory has consulted for a number of organizations on carbon dioxide removal, including the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, the World Resources Institute, the Energy Futures Initiative, and the Greenhouse Gas Management Institute. He received his B.S. and B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
